If you are a praying person, you can use this Anti-Racisim Prayer Packet. Compounded by COVID, you may also find solace in this liturgy for a Time of Widespread Suffering.
It is no surprise to you that we are here now, sharing in this turmoil along with the rest of our society, for you have called your children to live as salt and light among the nations, praying and laboring for the flourishing of the communities where we dwell, acting as agents of your forgiveness, salvation, healing, reconciliation, and hope, in the very midst of an often-troubled world.

Skyler Settles
Skyler just moved to Greenville a few months ago (and ate lots of ice cream/bike toured the Natchez Trace just beforehand), but he has already gotten plugged into helping Village Wrench! He made a cool bike donation container for the workshop, asked to support us by buying parts through us for a personal bike build project, and is serving as a 6-Cycle mentor in June. Thanks for your enthusiasm and willingness to dive in, Skyler!

Our Spring cohort is resuming this month!
(Outside and with appropriate COVID precautions, of course) We can't wait!
Practice character by identifying your values, from Angela Duckworth: In these darkest of times, I have found it helpful to reflect on my values, sitting down and writing about what I hold most important and why. Research shows that this simple activity has many benefits, including orienting our attention to the needs of people around us. The archive of “ This I Believe,” essays read by their authors on National Public Radio since the 1950s, has inspiring examples.

(And for good reason - Kat has already brought so much organization, teaching, expertise, and joy to the workshop. So grateful for her!)

It's Kat's first day as a mechanic in the shop! She has been a Village Wrench volunteer for many years, and we are ultra stoked to have her as part of the team. Help us give her a huge welcome!
