Work at Village Wrench!
Students apprentice at our bike shop
practicing job skills, hard work, and leadership.
Each summer, we hire four youth apprentices who participated in our 6-Cycle 2nd Gear class the previous spring.
Gain valuable first-time job training, work experience, and a paycheck!
The goal of this program is to empower teens with the mechanic and customer service skills needed to work at any bike shop — or any workplace — in Greenville upon finishing the apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is a first job for students and includes personal and professional development curriculum to help students succeed not only at work, but in all areas of their life. Students participate in weekly development, including mentorship, financial literacy, goal setting, field trips, and training in other life skills. Our apprentices are vital to the success of Village Wrench both in their skills repairing bicycles and belonging to and investing in our West Greenville community.
